Visiting Fellow in Material Culture

Dr Veronica Maxwell (Oxon.) is an archaeologist and researcher at the Open University, specialising in the interdisciplinary study of early metals in the Aegean. Her work sits at the intersection of archaeology, archaeometallurgy, and material culture studies, drawing on a range of analytical and historical approaches to understand the role of metalworking in early Aegean societies.

With a career rooted primarily in research and teaching, Veronica brings deep scholarly expertise to the classroom and to academic discourse alike. She is committed to advancing knowledge of prehistoric and early historic Aegean communities, and to fostering critical, interdisciplinary thinking in her students and collaborators.
